Ramona taught herself to sew when she was 12 on her mother’s old Kenmore machine. Since then, sewing and machine embroidery have become her happy escape and offers a joy of creating. Teaching others to quilt and sew brings a great deal of fulfillment and gratification to her. She’s also a retired pediatric nurse but most importantly, she is a wife, mother and grandmother. While she and her husband are Baltimore natives and of course love steamed crabs, they have lived in the hot Arizona desert for 34 years. She look forward to traveling to meet students who share her love of sewing and to share new skills with them.
Michelle has always loved to sew and create. She sewed alongside my mother at a young age. After receiving her first sewing machine for 8th grade graduation, she would skip out of study hall to go to the Home Economics room to sew. Throughout my adult life my love affair with sewing continued.
Michelle has 25 years of experience working in sewing machine dealerships. Teaching basic to advanced sewing machine, serger classes, embroidery software and monthly clubs.
Her greatest joy comes from teaching others the love of sewing.

Ashley learned to sew from her mother and grandmother at a young age, making her first quilt from double-knit squares in sixth grade. As an adult she started a custom costuming business featuring costumes and accessories from a midnight cult film after she became involved with a local production. This has allowed Ashley to share her talents and knowledge with individuals all over the world. Ashley began working for a machine dealer after purchasing a long arm, with her mother, and quickly fell in love with working in the sewing industry. Within the first two months Ashley had embroidered blocks for and pieced her first quilt since sixth grade. Machine embroidery and Ashley were meant to be together. Soon Ashley was teaching classes as a fill in instructor and had created her own bag of the month club, teaching new techniques monthly. Teaching has always been a passion of Ashley’s, as she herself has never wanted to stop learning, and is looking for the next technique to learn.
“My passion has always been to teach people who want to learn. I knew that in college, I just had to figure out how to do that every day. Now I’m ecstatic to be able to teach as an RNK Certified Educator,” Ashley states. “This is where my passion is, helping people to understand in everyday terms how to do something or how to make it better. From embroidery to sewing, quilting and cosplay I’m excited about them all, and ready to share my knowledge; or be the first to pick up a seam ripper so we can figure out how to enhance our mistakes.”
Clarrisa Gossett of Gilbert, AZ. is a Floriani National Education Coordinator for RNK Distributing. Clarrisa discovered the joy of sewing as a young child. As a young girl her mother taught her the basics of sewing and in a very short time it became apparent that Clarrisa had a natural talent for sewing and a special gift for creativity. It wasn’t long before Clarrisa was teaching her mother techniques and creative ideas that enhanced the results for both. Clarrisa continued to fine tune her sewing skills in her growing up years by creating all of her own clothing and studying Clothing and Textiles at College. It was no surprise that as an adult Clarrisa became a Sewing Educator and Trainer. At one time in her amazing career in the Home Sewing, Qulting, and Embroidery Industry she managed a very successful retail location for a national sewing company. She is a licensed Martha Pullen Instructor and has created various projects for the Martha Pullen Company. Her joy and passion for sewing has been the driving force behind her desire to share the same with consumers through education. She loves to teach and share the fun of this great hobby with her relaxed and informative teaching style. After spending a few hours with Clarrisa you will learn an abundance of techniques and product know-how but you will also love your hobby even more!
“I don’t smoke, drink, gamble, drive a fast car, or see a psychiatrist, I have other vices. When all fails in life, stop, drop, and sew!”
